This week we talked about the journey that zebras go on across the Sarengeti. We found the continent Africa on the world map and looked at how far the zebras travel. We also talked about the other animals that we could find living on the Sarengeti.
We explored the Reception classrooms and outdoor area. We are getting to know our teachers ready for September. On Thursday we will be going to visit Reception again.
In maths this week we talked about the whole of a number and parts inside it for example we saw that 5 is made up of 4 and 1. We saw how the number blocks combined to make the different numbers then explore how we can make the numbers using coloured counters,
Our rhyme this week was the grand old Duke of York and our sound was the x sound. We listened for sounds at the end of the word e.g. fox, box, wax.
