Well done to all the children in Year 1 for a fantastic autumn term. We are so proud of all the children for their hard work and team work.
This week in English, we described the actions of Goldilocks and looked carefully at the illustrations. We thought about why Goldilocks might have been foolish or scared in the story and had a go at using interesting adjectives.
In Maths, we compared sets of objects and different amounts. We especially enjoyed throwing beanbags into hoops and comparing how many were in each set. We have used the language- 'greater than', 'fewer than' and 'equal to'.
In Music, we warmed up our voices by stretching our bodies and making different faces — big, small, and silly! We like singing 'Pop it on the head with a ping pong' and the 'Name song'.
A huge thank you from everyone in Year 1 for the wonderful kind gifts and lovely cards. . A reminder that January 5th is an INSET day and school will reopen Tuesday 6th Jan. We wish all our families a wonderful winter holiday and a well-deserved rest!
