This week we have been talking about how the world around us is changing as the seasons change to autumn.  We have used litter pickers to collect up leaves and created small world gardens to play with characters in.

We investigated a pumpkin. We drew it, talked about what it looked at felt like and then we cut it open and explored the seeds and flesh inside. In the water tray we used the seeds, leaves and sticks to make an autumn soup.

Our rhyme of the week was round and round the garden. We used sounds from the rhyme to create sound patterns e.g. tip, toe, tip, toe and tickle hee hee, tickle hee hee.

Please could children bring in rain suits or water proof trousers and coats for playing in the garden. This will allow us to continue our inside and outside provision now that the weather has become more rainy.

We hope you enjoy the half term break and look forward to seeing you on the 2nd November.
