This week we have been continuing to settle into the nursery by taking part in some group activities. On Monday we chose books to take home from the library. If your child bought a book home please return it on Monday so that they can choose another one. If you child does not attend on Mondays they will be able to begin taking books home from next week.
In our pen disco this week, we practised drawing horizontal lines. When we drew them we said ‘side to side’. We then used our pens to draw long and short horizontal lines. When we held our pens we are beginning to use crab fingers.
During Maths, we sang 5 currant buns in the baker's shop and acted out buying the buns from the shop. We put the buns in our role play area so that the children could sing the sing during their play.
Our rhyme of the week this week was wind the bobbin up. We sang the song and used actions when singing. We also talked about sounds in the song and clapped put the syllables in pull, window and bobbin.
