What a busy week we have had! We have been sharing Christmas stories including The twelve days of Christmas, Ollie’s Reindeer and The Snowflake. We have also been using our fine motor skills to wrap boxes with wrapping paper, the sticky sellotape has been quite tricky to use!

We have been printing on the art table and used our printed paper to make Christmas hats. We also made Christmas collages using paper and sequins.

We have sent a special video on Tapestry of the Christmas songs that we have been singing, we hope you enjoy it! On Wednesday afternoon we had a visit from Father Christmas, he left all the children a present.

Our rhyme of the week was 1,2,3,4,5 once I caught a fish alive. We used words linked to the rhyme to make sound patterns for example flip, flop and splash, splosh.

Our sound of the week was a recap of the m sound. We thought of words that we knew beginning with m and practised saying the sound with a long and short noise.

Thank you very much for the kind gifts that you gave us. We all hope that you have an enjoyable holiday, and we will see you in the new year.
