This Week
We have been learning about families. We have been naming the people that live at our house and sharing the story Families, families, families. We talked about how all families are different and talked about similarities and differences between our own families.
In our pen disco we drew horizontal lines. As we were drawing we said “side to side”. We also talked about how to hold our pencils using crab fingers.
We have also been drawing self portraits this week and putting them up on the wall in the story telling area.
Our nursery rhyme of the week was hickory dickory dock. We have been clapping the syllables in the words from the rhyme e.g. clock and hickory. We have also clapped the syllables in our names.
Next week
We will be naming our body parts, singing head, shoulders, knees and toes and sharing the story head to toe.
Our nursery rhyme for the week will be Humpty Dumpty.
