This week our phonics rhyme has been 1,2,3,4,5 once I caught a fish alive. We used our voices to make sounds from the rhyme e.g splash. We said the sounds in a short and a long way.
We used our fine motor skills to save fish from a net. We used our finger and thumb to create a pincer motion to pick up the fish.
We also played in the water tray with water animals.
In the garden we used our feet to kick balls. We made goals to kick them through.
In maths we sang 5 little ducks, 5 currant buns in the bakers shop and 5 little men in a flying saucer. We used our fingers to represent the numbers in the song. We used our counting finger to check we had the correct number of fingers.
At home to support your child you could sing our songs of the week together.
