We cannot believe we have completed our final full week in Reception! This year has gone so fast, and we are beyond proud of all the children, and the wonderful year they've had at Strathmore. We are very sad the year is over so quickly, but we cannot wait to see what the children continue to achieve as year 1s. Thank you for always supporting our extra curricular activities and for all your lovely support throughout the year.

Topic -
In English, we've enjoyed writing our letters to post home. Thinking back on our time in Reception, we had lovely class discussions on what we're proud of achieving this year, from making new friends to doing the monkey bars, reading books to playing the glockenspiel - we all have achieved so much! We enjoyed writing our letters and are excited to post them in our final week. If you haven't brought in a stamp, please do so by Friday. We'll be walking to the post box on Monday, so keep an eye out next week!
We have read the lovely story 'Under the Same Sky' this week in our topic time, which is a story that celebrates the hopes and dreams that are shared by all living things, even though they may look as if they lead different lives. The story gives a sense of togetherness and unity, which led us to the children's final writing challenge of the school year to write about something they enjoy doing with their friends and/or family.
