Weekly News, Spring B, Week 5

Announcements: Thank you so much for all of your kind donations of junk modelling materials this week. The children made some absolutely fantastic carriages this week and we had such fun creating our own 3D sculptures inspired by the environment too. Well done everyone, you are all superstars!
English: This week, the children have been taking a little look at our new unit on poetry. We have been exploring the world of similes and creating some of our own wonderful descriptions using super vocabulary. In the meantime, we have been consolidating our learning of all of the spelling rules that we have covered so far this term. Well done, Year 2!
Maths: This week the children have been exploring measure, specifically investigating length and measuring in cm. I wonder what things you might find to measure around your home over Easter? Why not come and tell us after the holiday break?
